Young eagles flight day

Founded in 1992, the Young Eagles program has dedicated nearly 25 years to giving youth ages 8 - 17 their first free ride in an airplane. This is the only program of its kind, with the sole mission to introduce and inspire kids in the world of aviation. Before each flight, a short ground school will be held to explain the various parts of an airplane and how they work. Following their flight, each Young Eagle will receive a certificate making him/her an official Eagle Flight Member. Today, the Young Eagles program has flown over 2 million kids.

These flights are offered free of change and are made possible through the generosity of EAA pilots and volunteers. Pre-registration is required and may be done by calling 815-741-7275 ext. 100. *Parental consent is required.

Saturday, October 7, 9am - 1pm

It's time to earn cash and free up some extra room just in time for the upcoming holiday season. This is the perfect opportunity for children 12 and under to sell toys, clothes, sporting goods, books, electronics - anything is fair game as long as it is designed for kids, and in good taste. While we realize that young children may need adult help with their sales, we expect the kids to do as much as they can. Preschoolers must have a parent with them. Each space will include one 8 ft. table. You may bring an extra one if needed. Don't think you have enough for a full table? Grab a friend and share one! Set-up time is from 11:30am-12:45pm. This event takes place at the Multi-Purpose Center Gym.

Sunday, November 5, from 1-3pm. Open to the public; free admission.

Especially for preschoolers! Is your preschooler fascinated with trucks and large equipment? Then Touch a Truck is the perfect event for you and your child! Your children can climb, sit, and play on a variety of trucks. There will be indoor and outdoor activities especially geared for preschoolers.
