Summer I Camp
This summer we will bring back our skating camp. Camp is an opportunity for skaters to spend the day at the rink participating in on-ice specialty classes, off-ice classes and freestyle practice ice. This camp offers two different sessions; Each session is five weeks long. The first session goes from June to July, and the second session goes from July to August.
In order to participate in camp skaters must be 7 years old and be at least in Beta. The camp will take place Monday through Thursday from 8:45am to 4pm. We will also offer an early bird drop off at 7:30am and a late pick up extended to 5pm at an extra fee of $25 per week. You can also sign up for classes in our Learn to Skate program, but you will register for those classes separately.
During camp this year, we will split the skaters into two tracks. Track 1 will be for our Beta through Freestyle 3 skaters, and Track 2 will be for our Freestyle 4 and up skaters. Please note, this is based on your class level, and both parts of the ISI testing must be complete.
Splitting the skaters up this way will allow for the counselors and coaches to focus on level appropriate elements and technique.
You will have the opportunity to sign up for the entire session, or on a week to week basis. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Dan Hinz, the ice arena coordinator at 815-741-7275 ext. 118.
