----Organic_Community_Garden.jpg2017 marks the 6th year of the Joliet Park District's Community Garden Program!

Roughly 200 plots are ready for gardening of the nearly 9 acres (or approximately 900 plots) available. 3 headed spigots line the perimeter of the garden for water use.

Garden plots are available to both Joliet Residents as well as surrounding community members. Plots are available in two sizes: 10' x 10' or 10' x 20' and are $25 per plot for residents ($37.50 for non-residents) and $50 per plot for residents ($75 for non-residents), respectively. Gardeners may purchase multiple plots with no limit. Gardening season runs from April through October.

Gardening is an enjoyable and rewarding activity for both individuals and families. The benefits and satisfaction received from participating in a community garden come not only in the harvesting of food for the table, but also in developing new friendships with people who have a common interest.
