The Andrew B. Barber and Clarence D. Oberwortmann Horticultural Center is located adjacent to the Bird Haven Greenhouse in picturesque Pilcher Park.
Dedicated in 1998, the Barber & Oberwortmann Horticultural Center is a 12,000-square foot facility located adjacent to the Bird Haven Greenhouse. The Center features a multi-purpose room, resource center, kitchen, and covered deck. Its limestone exterior with wooden-beamed entryway and charming outdoor covered deck is conducive to the natural surroundings of Pilcher Park. The Center enhances the historic Bird Haven Greenhouse and Conservatory by providing additional space for a business reception, wedding reception, or family celebration.

The Horticultural Center is an ideal rental facility for any occasion. The spacious main hall, with a capacity of 254 people sit down style or 299 reception style, can be subdivided into smaller rooms to suit smaller gatherings. The hall is perfect for wedding receptions, parties, business meetings, reunions, and more! The Center provides a truly unique and memorable site to host your special day.

Joliet Area Garden Club
Joliet Area Garden Club: Held the second Tuesday of each month at 6:45pm for adults at the Barber & Oberwortmann Horticultural Center, 227 N. Gougar Road. Join other gardeners for an evening of fun that features interesting topics, projects, and speakers.
Fee: $20 Annual Dues
