Board of Commissioners
The Commissioners are elected by Park District residents to serve staggered terms without compensation. They are responsible for developing policies, which provide direction for the operation of the parks, facilities, and recreation programs. The Board also hires the Executive Director who in turn, hires the staff which manages the various departments of the Park District. The Board of Commissioners meets on the fourth Monday of each month at the Inwood Athletic Club, 3000 West Jefferson Street, at 5:00 pm. The public is invited to attend.

Joliet Park District Board of Commissioners Filing petitions for CONSOLIDATED ELECTION
The Joliet Park District announces that petitions for the election of Park Board Commissioner must be filed by Monday, December 21, 2020 at the close of that business day at 5:00pm for the Consolidated Election to be held April 6, 2021. The first day for filing petitions is Monday, December 14, 2020 at 8:00am in the office of the Executive Director of the Joliet Park District at the Inwood Athletic Club powered by ATI Physical Therapy - 2nd Floor Conference Room, 3000 W. Jefferson Street.

Joliet Park District Board of Commissioners Consolidated Election
The Joliet Park District will have nominating petition packets available beginning Tuesday, September 22, 2020 for individuals who wish to run for Park Board Commissioner in the April 6, 2021 Consolidated General Election. Packets may be picked up at the administrative offices of the Joliet Park District, Inwood Athletic Club powered by ATI Physical Therapy (second floor), 3000 W. Jefferson Street, Monday through Friday from 8:00am-5:00pm.
Three commissioners will be elected, each to a four year term. The first day for filing petitions is Monday, December 14, 2020 beginning at 8:00am, and the last day is Monday, December 21, 2020 until 5:00pm.
