To improve the financial stability of the Joliet Park District, staff will implement the following directives: close Splash Station for the 2019 season; reduce hours of operation at Hartman Recreation Center for rentals and special events only; reduce full-time and part-time labor (both positions and hours worked); reduce Park District vehicle usage; defer Park District wide equipment purchases; incorporate a convenience fee to credit card transactions; and explore increased fees for programs and events.
